His father said that now the boy was in college, he’d never have to worry about sending him a dime. But it got worse.

He also told the young man that he should be happy that he even gave him the time of day!

The young man calculated that his father owed $90,000 in child support. He instructed his mother to file for it. She agreed.

By going after the child support, there is a high likelihood that his father will be sent back to jail. The young man wrote to an internet forum and asked if he was doing the right thing.

One poster said, “Why are you worried about what happens to him? He was a bad father and broke the law, so he should face the consequences. I’m sorry there isn’t a better system in place to make deadbeat parents cough up.”

While another commenter said, “Take him for everything he’s got.”
